The drawers are simple to shut and open however I found the textured plastic coatings a bit hard on my fingers.
The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. This includes Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker, making it easy to move the frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that can help you better organize the position of items. This feature is adjustable using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the general settings work better than the specific ones.
In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly consistent across all areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the refrigerator did not differ much from 38 degrees. This is a great performance however it doesn't rank among the best in our rankings.
This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat in order to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.
The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
